On the 22nd of December 2024, heavy rains wreaked havoc across the KwaNqetho and Molweni communities, leaving 50 people devastated by the destruction of their homes. The storm's impact was particularly harsh on elderly residents, who were left vulnerable and struggling to rebuild their lives in the wake of the disaster.

In response, the CityHope Disaster Relief team swiftly mobilized, determined to bring comfort and assistance to those in need. Our dedicated team worked tirelessly, going house to house to assess the damage and provide the support needed for recovery. Through compassionate care, prayer, and practical aid, we were able to bring much-needed relief to the affected communities.

The relief efforts included the distribution of Hope Kits, Hygiene Packs, Maize, and Two-Plate Stoves—essential items that would help ease the burden and restore a sense of normalcy for the families affected. These tangible supplies were accompanied by emotional and spiritual support, as our team offered comfort, encouragement, and love during a challenging time.

We are deeply grateful to all our supporters who make our mission to provide relief in times of crisis possible. Your generous contributions and prayers allow us to continue our work, reaching those who need it most. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of those facing hardship.

Thank you for standing with us. Together, we are a beacon of hope in the midst of disaster.
