Western Cape Floods

In July 2024, devastating floods swept through Cape Town, displacing thousands and leaving behind widespread damage. In response to this crisis, CityHope Disaster Relief, through strong partnerships and community support, was able to assist over 100 affected families. By distributing our Hope Kits, we provided essential relief to those in desperate need, helping them take the first steps towards recovery.

----------
Heavy winter rains resulted in the flooding of multiple low-lying and informal areas in Philippi East, affecting Ward 35 and Ward 88. In response, Beautiful Gate, in collaboration with CityHope Disaster Relief, stepped in to provide essential support. A total of 63 CityHope Disaster Relief Hope Kits were distributed to 63 households, representing the 285 adults and children who were displaced by the flooding. We are deeply grateful to Beautiful Gate for their swift and compassionate distribution, bringing much-needed relief and hope to those in need.

We are incredibly grateful to partner with local organisations and churches who ensure that help reaches the most vulnerable. Together, we are making a difference and restoring hope in our communities.
