Thandanani Church (Shongweni) Water Drive
352+ Individuals Assisted
In response to the ongoing water shortage crisis affecting numerous communities, CityHope Disaster Relief took action to provide essential aid to those in need. A distribution event was held at Thandanani Church near Shongweni Dam, where 352 individuals received critical assistance.
The distribution efforts aimed to alleviate the hardships faced by communities grappling with prolonged water scarcity and intermittent supply. Many households have endured extended periods without access to clean water, exacerbating living conditions and posing significant health risks.
CityHope Disaster Relief collaborated with Rise Against Hunger, who generously donated rice to complement the water distribution. This partnership allowed for a comprehensive relief effort to address both hydration and sustenance needs within the affected communities.
The distribution event at Thandanani Church marked a significant step in CityHope’s ongoing commitment to providing relief and support during times of crisis. By mobilising resources and leveraging partnerships, CityHope aims to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by water shortages and other challenges.
As the water shortage crisis persists in various regions, CityHope Disaster Relief remains dedicated to serving communities in need. Through continued efforts and partnerships with organisations like Rise Against Hunger, CityHope endeavors to provide relief, hope, and support to vulnerable populations facing adversity.
