South Coast Floods
On April 14, 2024, parts of the South Coast were devastated by flooding. CityHope Disaster Relief and Ugu Disaster Management are currently conducting assessments in the affected areas. The scale of the damage is immense, with homes and infrastructure severely impacted.
STATUS OF RESPONSE: ACTIVE
In the wake of the catastrophic flooding that struck the South Coast on the night of April 14, 2024, CityHope Disaster Relief, in partnership with Ugu Disaster Management, has initiated a full-scale disaster response operation. The organizations are currently assessing the extent of the damage which has left many homes and infrastructure in ruins.
