On Saturday, 22 October, a fire destroyed the homes of 7 individuals at Makausi informal settlement in Germiston. The people, including a 6-month-old baby boy, were left without shelter and belongings.

STATUS OF RESPONSE: COMPLETE
<p>In response to this disaster, our partner at Cornerstone Church in Johannesburg responded to an informal settlement fire in Germiston. They distributed Hope Kits, tarp, maize meal & blankets and ministered to the families who had been left destitute. They will be returning soon with clothing hampers for the victims.</p>
