How we helped
In September 2019 violent and unjust attacks against foreign nationals in Northern KZN resulted in hundreds of individuals being displaced. At this time, a network of faith-based organisations involved in disaster management and response work partnered to formalize the KZN Disaster Response Team. The team includes CityHope Disaster Relief, The Domino Foundation, The South African Red Cross and Zoë Life. The team pulled together their various resources to supply support to the group of displaced foreign nationals in the form of food, clothing, blankets and hygiene supplies. Approximately 120 individuals were assisted and covered with prayer and support during these uncertain and frightening times.
