The eThekwini Disaster Management team called out to CHDR to assist 30 families affected by fires in Cato Crest & Cato Manor. Team leader, Rob Taylor met with Malcolm Canham (Senior Coordinator, eThekwini Disaster Management) and Ward Counsellor Veli Mthembu on site where they could clearly see the extent of the damage.
CHDR distributed 36 Hopekits to the families despite the situation having been very tense and volatile at times. We are very grateful for having partnered with eThekwini Disaster Management who are always so professional and accommodating.
